On November 16th, Vice Chairman Zhu Dong,  the Executive Deputy General Manager Zhu Guoyin, the Deputy General Manager Huang Guomin, the Director of the Group Office Zhao Fang, and the Director of the Board Office Sun Xihe visited Lianyungang for study. Accompanied by Director Hu and other leaders, Zhongke study group visited Lianyungang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Lianyungang Free Trade Zone and the Planning Exhibition Hall of the Development Zone, understood in detail the development blueprint of Lianyungang Economic and Technological Development Zone.

Lianyungang is one of the earliest open coastal cities of China, the first node city of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge Economic Corridor, the pivot city of Jiangsu“ Belt and Road” strategy. Lianyungang has deeply integrated into the construction of the “Belt and Road”, fully strengthened the cooperation with Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asian Countries and other regions, promoted the perfect connection between the land routes and ocean routes along the new Eurasian Continental Bridge, actively built the international logistics and economic cooperation corridor and the win-win opening platform. It is becoming a new hub industrial city with the innovation as the guidance.

“Lianyungang Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in the eastern area of Lianyungang city, the earliest state-level development zone approved by State Council on December 1984, an important carrier of the export-oriented economy of Lianyungang city, the core area of building international coastal city, and the concentrated area of the high-quality resources of Lianyungang city.” Director Hu said, “Lianyungang Economic and Technological Development Zone focuses on the development of ‘Three New and One High’ that is New Medicine, New Material, New Energy and High-End Equipment Manufacturing Industries. It is promoting the development of modern service industry like the logistics and export processing industry, becoming an import and export window and production base for the central and eastern regions of China.  If invest here, it can enjoy the convenience of the “Belt and Road” Comprehensive Transportation Hub and International Logistics Center, which provides a fast channel for exporting to the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.

Vice Chairman Zhu stated that in recent years, Zhongke Electric Power actively responded to the call of the State to integrate into the construction of the “Belt and Road”, added a new dimension to the enterprise development, opened up a new profit model, become an active practitioner of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Currently, the export business has accounted 40% of the total business of the Group. We are confident in the “Belt and Road” and the prospect of the future. The location advantages and the policy of Free Trade Zone will definitely provide a new driving force for the development of Lianyungang city.
